In light of the current state of emergency, and pursuant to Michigan Supreme Court Administrative Order 2020-02, the 31st District Court is closed to the public until April 14, 2020. During this time, the Court will only conduct arraignments and proceedings for in-custody criminal defendants. All other matters will be adjourned and parties will receive notice of the new date. 

On criminal matters, all in-custody felony arraignments, probable cause conferences and preliminary examinations will continue as scheduled. As many proceedings as possible will be conducted remotely.

All out-of-custody misdemeanor matters are adjourned to a date after May 1, 2020. The Court will send a notice to appear once a new date has been set.

All non-emergency civil matters are adjourned to a date after May 1, 2020. Parties should contact the Court and each other to coordinate a new date.

All non-emergency landlord-tenant proceedings are adjourned to a date after May 1, 2020. 

All traffic, civil infraction and ordinance violation hearings are adjourned to a date after May 1, 2020. The Court will send all parties a notice with their rescheduled dates.
